Friday 4th June 2021“Through a ritual of light and breath / I reassesses the process of a changing body / within an expanded temporal context / Surrounded by mineral formations / - magnetic attractions - / I discover fleeting moments of rest / Healing is allowed / existence is hollow.”
We are delighted to host this sunset performance by Niya B. The duration of the work will be around 30 minutes.
Niya B is a transfeminist artist, working at the intersections of visual art and performance to explore themes related to ecology, posthumanism, (trans)gender politics and equity in mental health. She uses video, soundscapes, text, voice-over, live image feed and live acts to create a meditative space of vulnerability, affect and interdependence.
